PRIVACY POLICY
Effective date: ___ September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pavel Anatolyevich Yakimov ("we", "us", "our"), as the person responsible for the operation of coffeebeandevice.com (the "Site"), collects, uses, stores and otherwise processes personal information relating to visitors and people who contact us through the Site.
This Policy is intended for an international audience. Where a privacy law applies to you, we will process your personal information in accordance with that law. Certain rights or obligations described below apply only where the relevant law applies.
1. Who we are
Site operator: Pavel Anatolyevich Yakimov.
Contact email: Yakimov_P@mail.ru.
We are based in the Russian Federation. If applicable law requires us to appoint a local representative or provide additional contact details, we will make the relevant information available on the Site.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to personal information collected through the Site, including when you submit a contact request, request information about the Coffee Bean device, express interest in prototype testing, discuss a potential purchase, partnership or investment, or request access to confidential materials or an NDA process.
It does not govern third-party websites, platforms or services that may be linked from the Site.
3. Information we collect
- Contact information, such as your name, surname, email address, telephone number and messenger handle or identifier.
- Professional information, such as company or organisation name, job title and business role, if you provide it.
- Communications and request information, including the contents of messages, enquiries, applications, NDA-related requests and other information you choose to provide.
- Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device information, date and time of access, pages visited, referral source, session information and technical identifiers.
- Cookie and similar-technology information, as described in our Cookie Policy.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information (for example, health information, biometric data, political or religious beliefs, racial or ethnic origin, or information about your sex life or sexual orientation) unless we specifically request it and there is a lawful reason to do so.
4. How we use personal information
- To receive, review and respond to enquiries and requests.
- To communicate with you about the Coffee Bean device and information you have requested.
- To consider and arrange potential prototype testing.
- To conduct discussions concerning a potential purchase, partnership, investment, collaboration or other business relationship.
- To prepare, negotiate, enter into and administer an NDA or other agreement.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Site.
- To understand Site usage and performance, where permitted and, where required, subject to your cookie choices.
- To comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, establish or defend legal claims, and protect our rights, users and systems.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where the EU GDPR, UK GDPR or another law requiring a legal basis applies, we rely on one or more of the following, depending on the circumstances:
- Consent — where you have freely given a specific consent, including for optional cookies where required.
- Steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performance of a contract — for example, when you ask us to discuss testing, a purchase, cooperation or an NDA.
- Legitimate interests — such as responding to business enquiries, maintaining Site security, preventing abuse and improving our services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
- Legal obligation — where processing is necessary to comply with a law that applies to us.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
6. Cookies and analytics
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary technologies may be used to provide functions you request and maintain security. Optional analytics, preference or similar technologies will be used in accordance with applicable law and your choices. Please see our Cookie Policy for more information.
7. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose personal information only where reasonably necessary to:
- service providers that support hosting, website operation, communications, analytics, security or other technical functions;
- professional advisers, such as legal, accounting or technical advisers, where appropriate;
- a counterparty or adviser in connection with a potential corporate, financing or commercial transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections;
- public authorities or other persons where disclosure is required by applicable law or is reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, safety or security.
Service providers are expected to process information only for authorised purposes and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
8. International processing and transfers
Because we are based in the Russian Federation and may use service providers in other countries, your personal information may be processed outside the country where you live. Privacy laws and levels of protection may differ between countries.
Where applicable law requires a specific mechanism for an international transfer made by us or by a service provider, we will use an appropriate lawful mechanism, such as contractual safeguards, an adequacy mechanism where available, or another legally permitted basis.
9. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution purposes.
- General enquiries and business communications: normally up to 3 years after the last meaningful interaction, unless a longer period is justified or required.
- Contract and NDA information: for the duration of the relationship and thereafter for the period reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- Cookie and technical information: according to the relevant cookie, security or service configuration and the purposes for which it is used.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent, and information about how your data is used or disclosed.
You may also have the right to complain to the data protection or privacy authority in your country or region. These rights may be subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
To exercise a privacy right, contact us at Yakimov_P@mail.ru. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
11. Additional notice for California residents
If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA), applies to us and to your personal information, California residents may have rights including the rights to know/access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising CCPA rights.
We do not currently sell personal information for monetary consideration. We also do not knowingly use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit under the CCPA. If our practices change in a way that triggers additional CCPA notices or opt-out mechanisms, we will update the Site accordingly.
California privacy requests may be submitted to Yakimov_P@mail.ru. Applicability of CCPA rights depends on whether the statutory requirements are met.
12. Children
The Site is intended for a general business and adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances where parental consent is required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us improperly, please contact us.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Automated decision-making
We do not currently use personal information collected through the Site to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Site, our practices or applicable law. The current version will be posted on the Site with an updated effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
